Women Must Realize This .......!!

There have been strong reactions to the words spoken by Asaram ,Bhagwat,Vijayvargiya(A Minister who i know from my Bhopal days !!), and others about women. These reactions  will continue (otherwise how will Arnab hold on to his TRP ratings ?!!) and some people will indulge in either under intellectualize ,intellectualize ,or over intellectualize the issue .Rape is despicable and perhaps the worst form of a crime in society .Safety of every individual (not just women)  is at stake in a society that appears to be as morally bankrupt as India at the moment .It is a extention of other forms of degradation that we have stooped to inorder to conquer .If politicians ,buruecrats, criminals ,terrorists can get away with loot and plunder ,then one is just a stroke away from just about anything that can one can imagine .It was obviously not just a case of sexual gratification that the six animals were indulging in .How can one explain why they put a rusted L-shaped lever into the genitals of a hapless and helpless young woman and then churned it and threw her out of a bus .Is making a law giving death penalty  for rape ,going to be enough for a crime like this not to happen again ?Even if we have a law in place ,do we have a committed police force to implement it?And most importantly -all of you who gather at various places and burn candle lights ,have you ever paused and thought for a minute -Why did no one offer to pick up a naked girl in freezing Delhi cold and take her to a hospital ?Is our citizenry better than the people we shout against ?Just pause and think .Is abusing using four letter words enough ?
I can see a point when the godman says that rape laws like the dowry laws can and will be misused. Because everyone is not perfect .We need to build adequate safeguards to make sure that it serves the purpose for which it will be made.I have seen the sexual harrassment clause being used to displace perfectly reasonable and decent people -and at the behest of power hungry men or managements who wanted to topple someone good.Hence a lot of thought must go into it and very strong safeguards to prevent its misuse .I was also distressed how many see it as if its primarily a gender issue .Lets not get pushed into a situation so that a feeling arises that  all men are rapists.I read a very disturbing comment by a very well known Principal saying that they will come out on to the streets whenever atrocities are committed on women .Why not generalize it by saying that everyone should come out protesting whenever atrocities are committed on anyone ?
At the end of the day ,let us be very clear -nobody can protect you like you. And you and you and you.” .Governments ,police ,and the criminals are not bothered even if you give them votes ,respect them take out processions , call them brothers or fathers or fall at their feet .Please ,please be aware of that .We dont live in a ideal society. Please draw your "Laxman Rekhas",and dont get agitated by such statements .Who is guaranteeing that Ram will arrive to slay the Ravans ?There arent many Rams around . And i doubt whether there ever will be one .So at least be prepared to defend yourself. .I would never trust the government and the police and the moral police ,and on that presumption would never step into a DTC or a scooter rickshaw at night ,unless i was armed .Yes we must allow women and decent men to be armed .And nobody seems to be talking about it .Read this true story which i reproduce from "THE HOUSTON HERALD NEWSPAPER" IN HOUSTON , TEXAS"
Last Thursday night around midnight, a woman from Houston , Texas was arrested, jailed, and charged With manslaughter for shooting a man 6 times In the back as he was running away with her purse.
The following Monday morning, the woman was called in front of the arraignment Judge, sworn In, and asked to explain her actions. The woman replied, "I was standing at the corner bus stop for about 15 minutes, waiting for the bus to take me home after work. I am a waitress at a local cafe. I was there alone, so I had my right hand on my pistol, that was in my purse, that was hung over my left shoulder. All of a sudden I was being spun around hard to my left. As I caught my balance, I saw a man running away from me with my purse.. I looked down at my right hand and I saw that my fingers were wrapped tightly around my pistol. The next thing I remember is saying out loud, "No Way Punk! You're not stealing my pay check and tips." I raised my right hand, pointed my pistol at the man running away from me with my purse, and squeezed the trigger of my pistol 6 times! When asked by the arraignment judge,
"Why did you shoot the man 6 times? ~
The woman replied under oath, "Because, when I pulled the trigger the 7th time, It only went click."
The woman was acquitted of all charges. She was back at work at the cafe the next day!"
We must empower our women to the extent that they are no longer dependent on either the governments ,the police and even the men at home who take their dependence for granted .I know arming anyone is dangerous but as Jeff Cooper writesThe rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

We must  allow all women to carry weapons till we transit from a barbarian society to a modern one .And hope the governments have the guts to enforce the rule of law to move towards it .It has failed us innumerable number of times and yet again yesterday -it has given Akbaruddin Owaissi enough rope already for the horrendous speech he made .Even if he is arrested -nothing will happen to him .Govts are too frightened to take punitive action .Do you think they will be able to implement the rape laws ?If yes -then they are surely running with the hare and hunting with the hound .!!So many criminals are moving around scot free inspite of damning charges and chargesheets against their name .And some of them are Ministers !!Ha ha -Shibu Soren is calling the shots in Jharkhand .And the assassins of a former Prime Minister of India were honoured under our noses .And the terrorists who attacked the Parliament are still alive ,even after the highest court in India says they should be hanged . !!Imagine .Just imagine .!!

  1. Sir, i totally agree with your thought of we being morally bankrupt. We are actually.
Feeling really bad for the girl not being taken to the hospital at the earliest for we are ourselves sick to our core.
I remember , once my father carried a lady to the hospital who he found to be half dead, abused , beaten and what not. Everyone said ''Saab aap kyun le ja rahe ho? Police ko aane do. Kyun lafde me padte ho '' .All i know is that She was saved due to timely intervention. Not everyone has the guts to do that.

  2. We are a nation full of people misusing our democracy, including politicians, bureaucrats, Godmen, "No men".....any one having an ounce of power tends to misuse it....its so pathetic. Time to educate our youth to respect human beings, be it a man, woman or a child.Time to include "teaching compassion" and time to have some harsh laws. Thank you Kain sir for taking up burning issues and putting them so beautifully.

  3. Sir, I agree with you about us being morally bankrupt. Being a girl who is applying to certain colleges in the national capital, I am having a tough time convincing my parents and to some extent even myself about my safety. Is is completely incorrect to expect something from the representatives that we have elected? It is their responsibility, and we pay them to do it, thus while empowering women with arms is a good idea, negligence and nuisance of the bureaucracy can not and should not be ignored.

  4. well well well...Kullu ...though the story of defence is from USA May I also point out the mindless manslaughter that occurs when guns are easily accessible, I am afraid I do not agree with arming anyone...responsibility comes at a great price and we are not talking monetry terms here, in country such as ours and I mean India allowing guns for women is asking for another misuse in the name of women...having a gun and actually having the courage to use one are two different things...courage is inculcated. A society that largely discriminates against women since conception has greater issues than what can be solved by allowing guns and what is really stopping them right now from owning one right now, in country like ours there are all kinds of ways and jugaads that one can do to arm themselves..goons have them...college students have them...I do not mean to ruffle your feathers at all..really govt. as weak as the one we have right now is pathetic...and we the people have chosen them..and we all stand there and point fingers and demand justice from majority of gundaas elected by us...there is no hope..yet you are the one who is hopeful..yet expecting everyone to ensure their own safety..why have a govt, police force paid by your taxes and leech of off your blood if they are not accountable...I will tell you why...coz countless people who walked by that day seeing the girl in such misery yet chose to walk away....as a society everyone is looking out only for themselves..you tell me who was worse the six men who committed the crime and tossed her out...or everyday people who saw the crime...were part of it..yet chose to ignore it...I apologize kullu this really rattles me...I agree it was a wrong choice for the two of them to make.......they should have known better..try as I might but I find this statement of mine sad and of helplessness..it is bus plying in the capital city of our nation..and they should not have ridden on it...everything is wrong with the latter part of the statement..

  5. Nelly you are perfectly fine in expressing your views .And you are right in your own way .As a man who moves around a lot with women (thanks to having four sisters and now grown up students and being in a public office ),whether it is the capital or a public transport for which i pay taxes -i would not dare to travel in it at 9.30 .I wish i had the idealism of the youth who think that the world becomes perfect once you make a law and once you have a elected government .But i guess i have moved beyond that age .I see it not in black and white -but in large areas of grey .What does one do -get into a public transport ,have men rape your women and then get on to a bus again ?No ,never .And this blame game will never end .Someone else will get raped ,someone else will get murdered and people will gather at India Gate .Till the time we get people educated and teach them how to live like decent citizens -i am afraid we will remain skeptics .And all this change will take place when schools start performing the functions which they are expected to -teach VALUES as well .Few schools do that -but one swallow does not a summer make .Let us be armed ,and let us travel in buses .Otherwise let everyone travel in cars !!We got to checkmate the hidden evil which throws itself up .There is as i said -rape in the eyes of men who leer and pass comments at women .Drop your guard -and you are in huge problems .If we dont want the misuse of guns -let us pass a law which allows a criminals to be stoned to death at a public place .But these democratic practices of fake trials and human right activists are a escape route for the rich and powerful .But i respect ur viewpoint and concern .But someone has to be accountable for someones elses safety .Otherwise let each one defend themselves .!!

    1. yes i agree Kullu that the reality of the matter is entirely different and you have a few years over me (age, wisdom, worldliness, and many other asapects)but what i was trying to communicate is that as a society there is something that is fundamentally wrong and you said it "values"...somehow they have evaporated...very very very sad ...
